Gambling in the 21st Century

Also in 2004, a group of three gamblers were arrested after having won £1.3 million at the Ritz in London. The group was alleged to have been using a device implanted in a mobile phone that scanned the speed of the roulette ball as the croupier dropped it, transmitted the information to a microcomputer that calculated the range of slots in which the ball would land based on the declining orbit of the wheel, and then flashed back its data to the screen of the phone just before betting was closed.
