The movie industry has really helped to promote casinos and casino games. There have been loads of movies that have taken the gambling industry from the sleazy, smoked-filled backrooms of prohibition banned gambling dens through to the bright, sexy, entertaining arenas that they have become today.

Ok, maybe Vegas helped a little too, well that also depends I suppose on where you go in Vegas. But now its not just Vegas there are loads of other casino cities that have sprung up, to entertain thousands of people at a time.

In the last 10 or so years there have lots of popular main stream movies that have helped paint a sexy intrigue around casinos and gambling. These movies have created an interest in casino games, convincing people to go out and discover for themselves what casinos have to offer. Maybe they have even gone as far as educating people on how to play casino games, or the etiquette of roulette.

The Bond movies, Oceans 11, 12 etc what other good movies do you know that had gambling and casinos in their plots? Oh and what about the movie “Casino”? Well that pretty much proves my point…they didn’t even try hard to find a different name.

Casino games have also grown from the older original roulette and blackjack through to graphics based online video poker and other electronic casino games.

Then of course people can now explore and learn more about casino games on the internet, then start playing them from home.
